Life with Epilepsy: A Reality Check ⚡️💜
Living with epilepsy often means navigating some pretty intense, unpredictable moments. Sometimes, the only way to process the chaos is through a little bit of dark humor.
For #EpilepsyAwarenessWeek , I wanted to share a glimpse into what the friendship dynamic looks like when you’re dealing with seizures.
The Spectrum of Reactions:
• The "First Time" Shock: That moment a friend sees it for the first time... it’s always a core memory (for better or worse!).
• The "You’re Alive" Relief: The aftermath of a rough one, where the main goal is just making sure I’m okay and can laugh about it afterward.
Shoutout to my friends who have seen it all—the scary, the weird, and the recovery—and stayed by my side regardless. You guys make the hard days so much easier to handle. 🫶
What about you?
Have you or your friends found that humor is the best way to break the tension when things get tough? Let’s chat in the comments! 👇
