Slowly Coming Back
So apparently moving and starting therapy is more taxing than I thought. I'm still not fully unpacked and therapy is good but boy does it just wipe me out 😂. So I'm not gone and still working on stuff but I'll be back to daily post when things are more stable 💜.
Moving to a new place can be incredibly draining, and when you add therapy sessions into the mix, the process becomes even more intense. From my experience, unpacking isn't just about organizing boxes—it's about settling your mind and creating a space where you feel safe and comfortable. Therapy can also bring emotional exhaustion, especially when you're working through personal challenges. One thing that helped me was setting small daily goals rather than trying to do everything at once. For example, dedicating 15-30 minutes to unpack one area or focusing on one aspect of my therapy homework per day gave me a sense of accomplishment without overwhelming me. I also noticed that self-care became crucial, whether that meant taking breaks to do something relaxing like crocheting or simply allowing myself to rest when needed. It’s important to recognize that recovery and adjustment take time; there's no need to rush. Sharing progress with others, even through updating posts or messages, can provide accountability and support—just as hashtags like #illbeback and #thankyou helped me feel connected during a challenging period. I found that balancing practical tasks with emotional work gradually rebuilt my energy and enthusiasm. If you’re in a similar situation, consider seeking out creative outlets or small hobbies to maintain joy during stressful times. Combining therapy with such activities can boost resilience and make the process more manageable. Remember, it's okay to have ups and downs—progress is not always linear, but each step counts toward healing and stability.
