I went into a rehab in 2018. My only goal was to return to my daughter, a mentally well and sober mom. The path has been in darkness and in light🤲
to witness the table being prepared before me and to know His word in my soul🙏
on this day, I was given a gift of a furnished home!! I move in January 1st, I am starting 2025, with stronger purpose and dedication to the now.
I deserve this!
When I talk about starting my journey 'in darkness' back in 2018, it's hard to truly capture the weight of that period. It wasn't just about the physical space I was in, but the mental and emotional state. My life felt adrift, consumed by habits that pulled me further and further from the person I knew I could be, and more importantly, the mom my daughter deserved. Entering rehab felt like a last resort, a desperate plea for a different future. I remember that time so vividly, the fear, the shame, but also a tiny spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, I could turn things around. That first year, 2018, was undeniably tough. It was a constant battle, wrestling with inner demons and learning to navigate life without the crutches I'd relied on. There were days when giving up seemed like the easiest option, when the "darkness" felt overwhelming and the idea of a "sober mom" seemed impossibly far away. But deep down, I held onto that goal for my daughter, a powerful anchor in the storm. I leaned on what I now understand as 'His word' – a source of strength and guidance that helped me rebuild my spirit. It wasn't a linear path; there were steps forward and backward, moments of doubt and moments of clarity. This journey truly has been 'in darkness and in light'. The perseverance I found within myself was something I never knew I possessed. Every small victory, every day sober, every moment spent connecting with my true self, chipped away at the darkness. I consciously made the decision every single day: 'I didn't give up on the goal!' I held onto the vision of a stable, loving home for my family. This vision fueled my dedication. It’s incredible to look back and see how far I’ve come since those challenging days of 2018. And now, to witness the incredible manifestation of that faith and hard work – receiving the gift of a furnished home. It's more than just a house; it's a symbol of new beginnings, of strength, and of proof that dreams, even those born from the toughest struggles, can come true. Knowing that 'I move into my forever home January 1st!' fills my heart with an indescribable joy and sense of accomplishment. Starting 2025 in a place that feels truly mine, a sanctuary built on resilience, is a testament to never giving up. If you're out there, feeling like you're stuck 'in darkness', remember my story. Hold onto your goals, no matter how small they seem. Believe in your capacity for change and growth, and know that with perseverance, your 'table' will also be prepared before you. You absolutely deserve a life filled with light and purpose.
