PCOS friendly meal
As I learn more about PCOS im starting to figure out more ways to make the food I eat better for me.
For dinner tonight I made
Tuna patties with cauliflower rice and seered-ish broccoli topped with a little drizzle of teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce!!
Will definitely be adding this to my menu of options but will be making a couple tweaks! 😋
Managing PCOS can feel challenging, especially when it comes to meal planning. As someone who’s been exploring PCOS-friendly foods, I found that incorporating low-carb, nutrient-dense meals like tuna patties paired with cauliflower rice is a great way to sustain energy and balance hormonal levels. Cauliflower rice is an excellent substitute for traditional rice since it’s low in carbohydrates and packed with fiber, helping to stabilize blood sugar—a crucial factor in PCOS management. Broccoli, as a cruciferous vegetable, contains compounds that support hormone regulation and liver detoxification, which can positively impact PCOS symptoms. I like to sear the broccoli lightly to keep its crunch and nutrients intact. Adding a small drizzle of teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce gives the dish a flavorful touch without overwhelming the natural ingredients. When preparing tuna patties, I often add herbs like parsley and a bit of garlic powder for extra flavor and anti-inflammatory benefits. For variations, swapping tuna with salmon or mackerel introduces healthy omega-3 fatty acids, known to help reduce inflammation associated with PCOS. Small tweaks like these help keep my meals exciting while staying nutritious. Overall, building a menu of PCOS-friendly options involves focusing on whole foods that stabilize insulin and reduce inflammation, such as cauliflower rice and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli. It’s rewarding to enjoy meals that taste great and support my health goals simultaneously.
