Hey guys! Just wrapped an MSC cruise from NYC to the Bahamas $600pp for a balcony room, 2 months out. Despite bad reviews, it was solid! Here’s the deal:

• Check-in: Arrive noon-ish, rooms ready at 1PM, luggage tags (print online!). Hilton/Hyatt elites: match to MSC’s loyalty for group fast-track security.

• Room hacks: Android users, proxy hotspot for cheap internet ($15/day “Browse” worked for TikTok!). Bring a TV stick and unplug the TV’s Ethernet, plug in HDMI, done.

• Shows & food: Book free shows via the app ASAP; $12 paid shows (with a drink) are worth it. Dining: free buffet + fixed-time main dining (pick 5:30PM to avoid schedule clashes). Diamond members get 1 free specialty meal.

• Shore days: Orlando? $60 NASA tickets via GetYourGuide, Uber easy. Nassau? Walkable downtown, grab conch fritters. Private island? Just sunscreen and swimsuit.

• Money tips: One drink package per room works for everyone (3 drinks/swipe). Ask for twin beds at booking if needed.

I love being on cruises because it’s a cheap way to see other places! However, the sanitary aspect is always questionable. I think the most ideal time to go (to the Caribbean anyway) is mid to late winter. The weather is absolutely perfect! October is hurricanes and summer is all kids.

Honestly I would’ve loved it more if I wasn’t pregnant and had the drinking package. All the games and shows were repetitive and boring to me on board also
