Do parents really have a favorite child?

I live with my mom and my brother, and the chore split is all me. I do most of it, my mom does a little, and my brother do nothing. The only “chore” he does is wipe his gross keyboards sometimes. I’m in full-time school and work a physical job that wipes me out. He hasn’t been in school or job for years.

For two days, there’s this huge cabinet in my mom’s car. She’s asked me four times to move it: twice right before work, twice when I just got home. I tried today, but it’s impossible alone.

I told her to have my brother help, dude’s way bigger than me! But she just goes like why can’t you do it? I said I can’t so she’s like “I’ll call your friends.” Um... I even asked if he could at least wipe the counter or organize the fridge before I grocery shop. Her response? “He’s too young, you do it.” Too young? He should’ve started years ago instead of me picking up his mess.

She even threatened “Move it or move out” like she can stop me from driving my own car.

I’m tired of being her slave and plan to move out soon, can’t he help a little? Anyone got tips to get him (he's 16) to pitch in?
