I need to settle this debate
Who’s got a TV in their bedroom and who thinks that’s a “kid move”? I stumbled on a comment a while back that’s been living in my head: “Grow up and keep the TV out of your bedroom.” Umm, excuse me? My bedroom TV is my sacred space, late night reality shows after the house goes quiet, lazy Sunday mornings with coffee and reruns. But is this actually a minority thing? Do most adults really ban TVs from their bedrooms like it’s some maturity test? I’ve had mine since college and it never felt “un-adult” but that comment hit different ngl. Do you have a TV in your bedroom? And if you’re team “no TV” what’s the big reasoning? Let’s settle this for science (and my peace of mind)

My entire apartment is my bedroom. I got stuck with a studio even though housing promised me one bedroom. At least I have a roof on my head so I shouldn’t be complaining, but if I didn’t live in a studio, I would still have a TV in my bedroom. Why not? what’s so un-adult about that? If you want to see your bedroom as your sanctuary, all you have to do is NOT turn on the TV!! I’ve been an adult for a very long time, and I’ve always had a TV in my bedroom. In fact I didn’t have one in my bedroom when I was ACTUALLY a kid, so the minute I could have my own, I got one in my living room and one in my bedroom. And I would have gotten one in my kitchen too, if I had the money for it. But that would be a waste anyway, because I don’t hang out in my kitchen. It’s just when I got housing, which I waited way, WAY too many years for, that I was forced to have the tv in my bedroom/ living room/kitchen. But even if I had a separate bedroom, I’d have one in there for sure!!! I mean, why are you in such a rush to be an adult? It gets hard and can be horrible at times. Stay a kid for as long as you can. I’ve been resisting “growing up” for YEARS, and I believe that’s why I look so much younger than I actually am. Never let go with that kid inside of you. That’s the whole fun of being a human.😂 -and tell me what’s so “un-adult” about having a TV in your bedroom anyway? You’re thinking WAY too much about this. I hope I’m not hurting your feelings when I say this, but honestly-when you ask if something makes you seem “un-adult,”it makes you sound like a child. I’m not trying to be mean. So please don’t take it that way. I’m sure you’re very sweet and nice person, and a TV is OK in the bedroom.❤️
