ประวัติหลวงพ่อแก้ว วัดเครือวัลย์ จ.ชลบุรี

หลวงพ่อแก้วเป็นพระเกจิยุคต้นกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ เกิดราวปลายรัชกาลที่ 1 (ประมาณ พ.ศ. 2337) ที่จังหวัดเพชรบุรี และมรณภาพราวปี พ.ศ. 2431 อายุประมาณ 94 ปี ท่านบวชและศึกษาเล่าเรียนทั้งภาษาไทย–ขอม รวมถึงพระธรรมคัมภีร์ต่าง ๆ ก่อนมาตั้งวัดเครือวัลย์และเป็นที่เคารพศรัทธาของชาวบ้านในพื้นที่อย่างมาก

ท่านมีชื่อเสียงด้านวิชาอาคมและการสร้างเครื่องรางของขลัง โดยเฉพาะ พระปิดตา ซึ่งแจกให้ผู้มาช่วยงานหรือศิษยานุศิษย์ เพื่อคุ้มครองจากอันตราย ภูตผี และคุณไสยต่าง ๆ

พระปิดตาของท่านได้รับการยกย่องว่าเป็นหนึ่งในพระปิดตาที่สำคัญที่สุดของไทย บางครั้งเรียกว่า “ราชาแห่งพระปิดตาเนื้อผง” และจัดอยู่ในชุดเบญจภาคีพระปิดตาที่มีคุณค่าสูงมากในวงการพระเครื่อง

ลักษณะสำคัญโดยทั่วไป เช่น

พระนั่งขัดสมาธิ มือทั้งสองปิดพระพักตร์ เป็นสัญลักษณ์ปิดกั้นกิเลสทั้งเก้าทวารของมนุษย์เพื่อการภาวนา

มวลสารประกอบด้วยผงว่านมงคลจำนวนมาก ผงพุทธคุณ และรักเป็นตัวประสาน ทำให้เกิดเนื้อสีน้ำตาล-แดงหรือดำเมื่อเก่า

มีหลายพิมพ์และหลายแบบด้านหลัง เช่น หลังเรียบ หลังลาย หรือหลังยันต์

พระรุ่นโบราณจำนวนหนึ่งสร้างราวช่วง พ.ศ. 2400–2419 (รัชกาลที่ 4–5) และถือเป็นต้นแบบพระปิดตายุคต้นที่ได้รับความนิยมสูง

History of Luang Phor Kaeo, Wat Khrua Wan, Chonburi Province

Luang Phor Kaeo was a revered monk from the early Rattanakosin period. He was born around the end of the reign of King Rama I (approximately 1794) in Phetchaburi Province and passed away around 1888 at the age of approximately 94. He was ordained and studied both Thai and Khom (ancient Khmer) languages, as well as various Buddhist scriptures, before establishing Wat Khrua Wan. He was highly respected and venerated by the local community.

He was renowned for his knowledge of magical arts (visha) and the creation of amulets and talismans, most notably his Phra Phitda (Phra Pidta) amulets. He distributed these amulets to those who assisted with temple work and to his disciples for protection against danger, spirits, and black magic.

Luang Phor Kaeo's Phra Pidta amulets are esteemed as among the most significant in Thailand. They are sometimes referred to as the "King of Powder Phra Pidta" and are included in the prestigious Benjapakee (set of five) of highly valuable Phra Pidta amulets in the amulet collecting community.

General Characteristics:

• The amulet depicts the Buddha seated in meditation with both hands covering his face. This posture symbolizes the closing of the nine human gateways to defilements for the purpose of meditation.

• The sacred ingredients include numerous types of holy herb powder (powdered wahn) and sacred powder (Phong Phutthakhun), bound with lacquer. This gives the amulets a characteristic reddish-brown or black colouration with age.

• They come in various moulds and designs, particularly on the reverse side. Common types include a plain back, a patterned back, or a back with sacred Yantra script.

• Many of the ancient amulets were created during the period roughly between 1857–1876 (reigns of King Rama IV and V). These are considered the archetypal early-era Phra Pidta amulets that enjoy immense popularity.

龙婆盖（Luang Phor Kaeo） – 瓦库銮寺（Wat Khrua Wan），春武里府（Chonburi）历史

龙婆盖是曼谷王朝早期的著名高僧。他约生于拉玛一世末期（佛历2337年，公元1794年），出生地为佛丕府。约于佛历2431年（公元1888年）圆寂，世寿约94岁。他出家为僧后，研习泰文与古高棉文，并精通各种佛典经论。之后，他创建了瓦库銮寺，深受当地民众的敬仰与爱戴。

龙婆盖以精通法术与制作护符圣物而闻名，尤其是他督造的拍碧达（掩面佛/闭眼佛）圣物。他将这些佛牌赠予前来协助寺务的信众及弟子，用以庇护他们免受危难、鬼祟及巫术侵害。

龙婆盖的拍碧达佛牌被公认为泰国最重要、最顶级的拍碧达之一，被誉为“粉末拍碧达之王”，并被列入极具收藏价值的“拍碧达五大名尊”之列。

主要特征如下：

• 法相： 佛陀结跏趺坐，双手掩面。此姿态象征在禅修中闭阖人类的九窍，以断除烦恼。

• 材质： 大量掺入多种吉祥圣粉（如湾粉、菩提粉），以漆油为粘合剂。因此，古老佛牌通常呈现红棕色或黑色。

• 模版与背面： 存在多种模版及背面样式，常见者有光背、纹饰背及刻有符篆背。

• 年代： 许多早期古老佛牌约制作于佛历2400–2419年间（拉玛四世至五世时期）。它们是早期拍碧达佛牌的典范之作，历来备受追捧。
