I want to share my life…

I love the idea of sharing bits of my life, my thoughts, and the things I love, I’m a natural and an over-sharer… but wow, creating content takes so much time. 🫣

As a mom of two, it’s hard to find the balance. I either feel mom guilt because I’m on my phone instead of being fully present with my kids… or I end up staying up way too late trying to edit, write, or post after they’re asleep. 😩

I genuinely enjoy being creative and connecting with others but it feels like I need a whole extra day just to make one post!

I’m curious how you make time to create content?

šŸ¼ Are you a parent too?

ā° Do you batch your posts? Do you have a schedule?

šŸ’” Do you have any tips for managing the time it takes?

Let’s talk about it because I know I’m not the only one trying to find the balance between documenting life and actually living it. šŸ«¶šŸ¼ #talktome

... Read moreSharing life online can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for parents. Striking a balance between creating engaging content and being present with your children often leads to feelings of guilt and fatigue. Many moms find themselves caught between wanting to share moments of joy and struggling to allocate time for it amidst daily responsibilities. First, consider batching your content creation. This method can help immensely by designating specific times to write and produce multiple posts at once. By planning out your content for the week or month ahead, you can alleviate the pressure to create in the moment. Utilizing tools like editorial calendars can keep you organized and focused. Moreover, don't hesitate to share the authentic moments of parenthood that resonate with your audience. Potentially, these can include notes on your experiences juggling family life, demonstrating that you're not alone in your struggles. Engagement often comes from shared experiences — the real and unfiltered challenges that many parents face. Scheduling can also be a gamechanger; try setting aside time during your children’s naptime or after they’ve gone to bed for dedicated creative work. Allow yourself grace in this process and recognize that it’s okay to prioritize family time over social media. Perhaps establish boundaries that designate specific times or days for posting to reduce guilt and ensure quality family interactions. Ultimately, invite your audience and fellow parents to join the conversation around managing life and content sharing. By connecting with others in similar situations, you not only build a supportive community but also share valuable tips and personal anecdotes that can uplift and inspire. Explore how others manage their content creation and share your methods — it might just result in a treasure trove of ideas that make this journey easier for every parent involved.

I really love being a mom content creator! I just post on lemon8 and TikTok. Usually what I try to do is do the filming or picture taking (for lemon8) during the day. Then when my kids go to bed I make the videos or posts. I try to make all posts for lemon8 on one or two nights a week, film for TikTok on weekends (toddler stuff and free sample videos) and then take a few nights off. It’s hard sometimes and sometimes I just don’t post šŸ˜‚ I also work a full time job at home while being with my toddlers. So when it’s slow at work and their napping I can also sneak some posting in lol
