Another successful canter day
Another very successful day at the canter.
Nailed both shots that I went for.
Yesterday I focused on getting three off, and today I slowed down to focus on accuracy. Panda is being so consistent on her runs, it’s awesome.

Cantering is a crucial skill for horseback riders, combining rhythm, balance, and coordination. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, focusing on accuracy can enhance your overall performance. It’s also important to build a positive relationship with your horse, as trust and confidence translate to better communication during rides. Key techniques involve maintaining an even tempo and using clear rein signals, particularly in mounted archery where precision is essential. Explore the world of disciplines such as horsearchery and mounted archery for their unique challenges and rewards. Not only do these activities strengthen the rider-horse bond, but they also provide great exercises in situational awareness and timing. Moreover, focusing on bitless riding can be beneficial for the horse’s comfort and responsiveness, promoting a more harmonious riding experience. With consistent practice and attention to detail, anyone can improve their cantering skills. Engage with community forums and local riding groups for collective learning and support as you take on new challenges with your horse. Happy riding!
