This change of environment helps me clear my mind and reduces screen fatigue. Even a five-minute stretch or a quick mindfulness exercise can lower stress and improve focus. Sometimes, I listen to a favorite song or enjoy a cup of herbal tea to refresh myself. Another tip is to avoid digital distractions during this break. Checking social media or emails can feel like work and add to mental clutter. Instead, I use this time to engage in light reading, meditation, or casual chats with colleagues to foster positive relationships, which uplift my mood. Moreover, preparing a small snack with protein or healthy fats can give you a gentle energy boost without the crash coffee might cause. Proper hydration is also essential—drinking water before the break sets a good routine. By transforming the last work break at 5 PM into a purposeful mini-reset, I've been able to maintain better focus, reduce burnout tendencies, and leave work feeling more balanced and accomplished. I encourage trying different methods to see what helps you feel your best during that break.
