Things I love about fitness lately
Following in love with my health and wellness journey in my 30s #healthandwellnessjourney #fitnessjourney #pilatesprincess #weightlifting #fitnesstok
Starting my fitness journey in my 30s has truly been a remarkable experience, and I've noticed significant changes not just physically but mentally as well. One of the things I’ve loved lately is embracing a consistent routine that includes weightlifting four times a week alongside Pilates three times a week. This balance helps me build strength while also improving flexibility and posture, which is vital as I age. Taking hot Pilates classes first thing in the morning has been a game-changer. It energizes me and sets a positive tone for the day. The warmth helps my muscles loosen up, making my workouts more effective. Additionally, participating in pop-up fitness classes and running groups like the “girlies” run allows me to meet new people and stay motivated through collective energy and support. Training for events like half marathons and Spartan races has introduced exciting goals beyond everyday workouts. These challenges push me to improve endurance and power, transforming my perspective on what my body can achieve in my 30s compared to my 20s. Alongside this, group fitness classes help keep my routine varied and social, which sustains my enthusiasm. Overall, the key has been consistency and embracing strength over merely being skinny. Focusing on functional fitness and well-rounded health has made me feel more empowered and capable. For anyone looking to elevate their health journey, I recommend exploring a mix of strength training, Pilates, and community-based fitness activities to create a sustainable and enjoyable routine.
