Grow on Twitch FAST | 🍋tips&tricks

it took me eight months of consistent streaming to reach Twitch Affiliate, meaning i can now make money when i stream games!

how did i get here in less than a year? let me tell you:

🎮 collaborate! going into streaming at first can feel daunting and you can sort of feel lonely, despite there being hundreds of streamers. don't hesitate to reach out! collabing with other creators within your niche gives you so many opportunities to build new friendships, gather a community, + learn new things (games, mechanics for streaming, reliable artists...)

🎮 playing games with a less saturated audience means you don't have to compete with thousands of creators for viewers. but you don't have to only stream indie games! i stream mostly valorant, minecraft, and the occasional indie game- while still maintaining a decent average view rate. so long as you're engaging with chat, making your space comfortable, and enjoying what you do; you're going to get an audience to watch AND come back!

🎮 participating in events, namely charity or fundraisers gives an idea of what is important to. i helped raise $1k+ for mental health organizations, because it's a important topic to me and is something i talk about often in stream. viewers who look for creators with like-minded passions will natural gravitate towards them!

👇but it's IMPORTANT to remember...

everyone's growth moves at different paces.

i am incredibly grateful and fortunate to have been able to reach the affiliate milestone under a year into streaming. for some, it took even less time, and likewise, for some it took even longer.

at the end of it all, what matters most is that you enjoy what you're doing.

Collaborating with other streamers not only fosters friendships but also expands your audience reach. As you explore less competitive games, focus on titles that resonate with your interests, which can significantly enhance viewer retention. Participating in charity events is another powerful strategy that can attract like-minded followers. When you stream, be authentic about your passions—viewers appreciate transparency and often connect with the causes you support. Remember, the journey varies for everyone; some streamers grow quickly while others take more time. Enjoy the process, and remember: consistency is key!

As someone who has been an affiliate for 3 years now I definitely agree, also use other socials to promote your streams, also using discord servers to find people to collab with helps a lot and you make a bunch of friends too
