Part 3 🧚📱 iPad apps to use instead of doomscrolling 😘
If you’ve ever found yourself endlessly scrolling through upsetting news or social media feeds on your iPad, you’re not alone. Doomscrolling can really drain your energy and mood, but luckily, there are some excellent apps that provide a much healthier alternative. For starters, the Libby app is a game-changer if you love reading. It connects to your local library and lets you borrow ebooks and audiobooks effortlessly. What's great is you don’t even have to go into the library physically—you have access to thousands of popular titles at your fingertips, completely free. I personally found this helped me switch from passively scrolling to actively engaging my mind with new stories and knowledge. For those who enjoy creative outlets, Procreate is hands down one of the best drawing and painting apps on the iPad. Even if you’re not an artist, experimenting with its intuitive tools and colorful brushes can be so satisfying and calming. I often doodle or create small projects during breaks, which is a great stress reliever after a hectic day. Another surprisingly relaxing alternative is the PowerWash Simulator app. It lets you virtually clean various objects and environments with power washing tools. This app’s oddly satisfying and mindless gameplay can be a perfect way to unwind without any of the anxiety caused by doomscrolling. It truly feels rewarding to 'clean' and organize spaces, even if virtually. Incorporating these apps into your daily routine can help shift your iPad usage from passive consumption of worrisome content to active, positive engagement. Whether it’s expanding your mind through books, expressing creativity with digital art, or de-stressing with a simulator, these tools offer fun, productive ways to reclaim your time and mental health on your iPad.

Power Wash Simulator is fun but it’s not free since you have to be subscribed to Apple Arcade.
