Miriam - Sister of Moses
In Exodus 2, Miriam watches 3 month old Moses in the Nile as Pharaoh’s daughter finds him, takes pity on him and does not have him killed, despite her father’s orders. In Exodus 15 Miriam encourages the Israelites to sing praise to God for parting the Red Sea and washing away Pharaoh and his men, horses and chariots.
