I post this not looking for comments or sympathy, but so that someone who might be feeling the same, who doesn’t have a sister to remind them why life doesn’t need to be over because you’ve hit your lowest, know they’re not alone. Because if you’re reading this, the internet has tried to create this idea of “perfect.” Perfect gifts, perfect jobs, perfect bags, perfect skin, perfect bodies, perfect cars. But the truth under it all? Life is not perfect. But it’s the choices we make, and the bravery we encompass, that help us to keep going. This year was a lot of bad, but there was also a lot of growth, and learning.
