As a person who has to have mains and desserts in every meal, this was a really satisfying meal 😋😋.
For mains:
Second time here 🎠 I got the chilled katsuo soup tempura udon 🍜 (can’t rmb the name but yea) and the miso pork belly carbonara udon 🍝 (their signature udon). Both were delicious, couldn’t really go wrong except that for the price point, portion was definitely on the small side. 😗
For dessert:

The chilled katsuo soup tempura udon offers a refreshing twist with its delicate broth and crispy tempura, perfect for a light yet flavorful dish. Meanwhile, the miso pork belly carbonara udon brings a creamy, savory richness that's both unique and comforting.
When it comes to dessert, the Thai milk tea shokupan stands out for its incredible texture and flavor. The bread is soft and fluffy, soaking up the melted Thai milk tea ice cream, resulting in a harmonious blend of creamy, sweet, and fragrant notes. This dessert perfectly complements the savory udon dishes, making it a delightful way to end your meal.
From my experience, visiting Umai Artisanal Udon Bar twice confirmed that their signature dishes maintain consistent quality, while Homm Dessert in Raffles City continues to impress with inventive sweets. While portions at Umai might be on the smaller side for the price, the flavor and experience justify the visit. If you appreciate both savory and sweet flavors in one meal, I highly recommend trying these places together for a satisfying dining experience.
