I don’t know who said it, but, there is a consensus among revolutionaries that any form of resistance that is approved by the state only exists to redirect your energy away from actual progressive action — not to mention, harassing the interns or a politician creates a psychological trauma bonds not unlike that of the Mormon community, reinforcing a persecution complex narrative that makes it justifiable to continue to ally themselves with those who are not threatening them for working, which is unfortunate, and I’m not saying not to air your grievances at all, I’m just saying timing is everything and right now is the time to alter behavior with actual punishment, not just bluster meant to give us a sense of catharsis so we deflate
