Ta Chand Merit "is a figure in the mythology of local beliefs of the South, especially in Phatthalung and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces, widely respected for fortune, merciful, and courthouse.
Myth and Belief
The eye of the merit hunter is an important character in the literature of Suthon-Manorah. In southern folk mythology, he believed that he was a hunter with great magic, able to bring Manorah (Ginri) to the Buddha by means of a "snare."
