splish splash....I was?...✨
ADHD shower struggles are real. 🚿🧠
Sometimes it’s not the shower itself. It’s everything your brain sees attached to it: stopping what you’re doing, transitioning, gathering what you need, dealing with sensory changes, washing, drying off, wet hair, getting dressed... and somehow restarting your day afterward. 😵💫
What looks like one simple task can feel like a whole chain of tasks when executive function, time blindness, sensory overwhelm, and task initiation get involved.
If this is something you struggle with, try making the process smaller. A quick shower still counts. Washing your hair separately still counts. Finding a routine that works for YOUR brain still counts. 🧡☀️
Small wins count.

This couldn't be truer. ADHD IS EXHAUSTING. You try keeping up with the rest of the world and you burn yourself out. Then do nothing but sit and think about what you need to be doing. I just built a website to help the people who do not have ADHD how to understand the ADHD brain works. Check out my website at www.mindlikemin.co
