Quilted Cresent Bag Process

For a crescent tote, a comfortable and sturdy strap is essential. I usually make my straps adjustable so they can be worn over the shoulder or cross-body. Attaching the strap securely is crucial. I like to reinforce the attachment points with extra stitching or even a small piece of interfacing. Finally, you assemble the lining and then 'bag out' the main bag by sewing the lining to the exterior, leaving a small opening to turn it right side out. Once turned, you can topstitch the opening closed, and often topstitch around the top edge of the bag for a crisp finish.
