Mommy cat
Continuing my story, that special cat, my soulmate, truly embodies what it means to be a 'mommy cat,' not just to her kittens but to me too. Beyond her incredible daily flower deliveries – those beautiful camelia flowers, symbolizing deep devotion and appreciation – her arrival brought so much more. When we realized she was pregnant, it was a whole new chapter. I remember rushing her to the vet, hoping she was microchipped, but she wasn't. Learning she was expecting was a mix of surprise and excitement. Preparing for her kittens felt like preparing for human babies in a way – making a cozy, safe space, ensuring she had nutritious food. Though the actual birth on our bed was unexpected and truly the cutest thing I'd ever witnessed, it highlighted her trust in us. After her kittens were safely delivered, the local cat charity was an absolute lifesaver. They helped find loving homes for the little ones, allowing my 'mommy cat' to recover and settle into her new life with us without the added stress of raising a whole litter in a new environment. It made me realize the immense responsibility and joy involved in caring for a pregnant cat and her newborns, even if for a short time. Her actions, like bringing those camelia flowers, always remind me of her unique personality and the incredible bond we share. It's not just a cute quirk; it feels like her way of expressing love and care, almost as if she's nurturing me back. This 'mommy cat' taught me so much about unconditional love, resilience, and the profound connection possible between humans and animals. For anyone considering bringing a pregnant stray cat into their home, I can share a few tips from my experience. First, a vet visit is crucial for health checks and determining gestation. Second, create a quiet, warm nesting area away from high traffic. Third, research local rescues or charities that can assist with rehoming once the kittens are old enough. It was challenging, but watching her become a mother and then seeing her kittens thrive was an unforgettable experience. She truly is my soulmate, and our journey together continues to be one of the most fulfilling parts of my life.

this is so freaking precious. I remember my mom telling me about this one cat, how it would leave her a dead mouse or bird every morning when she was pregnate with me. Sadly she couldn't keep it because she was allergic. i think one of the neighbors ended up taking it in. though that didnt last long since he was a feral cat lol. he went by his own rules.
