An archery and boxing sports training facility near the campus of a university in western Tokyo.
The archery building and boxing club have combined two different sports into a coherent wooden structure.
Both are designed as space-saving rooms, with no pillars, measuring 7.2 x 10.8 meters.
By using locally available wood and consisting of simple nuts and screws.
Instead of using traditional large parts,
FT Architects has developed different structures from simple materials.
: The archery building uses a delicate mesh structure of slender pillars and beams.
This is often used in furniture making.
While boxing clubs use a heavier step-up structure,

The exposed pole range creates an open-air practice area under the roof that expresses prominence.
This is reminiscent of the horizontal and vertical orderliness of traditional Japanese wood.
