How to Prioritize Wellness in School

School can be extremely demanding and often times our self-care is the first thing to go when we’re feeling stressed. Here are four tips to help ensure that you prioritize your wellness!

1. Pick a nonnegotiable bedtime and stick to it! More often than not staying up those extra few hours is not gonna make a difference in your test scores. Make sure your body and your mind get the rest that they need.

2. Choose one day a week away from the books. Having one week where you don’t study allows you time to decompress, reconnect with family and friends, and take care of other responsibilities!

3. Let’s be honest, sometimes our friends are all that keep us sane. Choose one time a month to connect with your friends. Often time with school we get wrapped up in our own work and forget to spend time with those that we love.

4. Physical and mental health are highly correlated with one another. Make sure you’re getting at least 30 minutes of exercise two times a week to keep your body moving. A simple as taking a walk, hitting the gym, or picking up around of Pickleball with friends!
