It's all about staying warm, protected, and looking cute (of course) while shredding. First things first, protecting my skin from the cold, wind, and sun is crucial. I start with a rich, nourishing moisturizer, sometimes even a heavier barrier cream, to lock in hydration. This is always followed by a high SPF sunscreen, even on cloudy days, because the sun's reflection off the snow can be intense! Don't forget a good lip balm with SPF too – chapped lips are no fun when you're out having fun. Next up, layering! This is probably the most important part of my snowboarding GRWM. I always go for moisture-wicking base layers – a long-sleeve top and leggings made from merino wool or synthetic fabric. They keep me warm without feeling bulky, and they're fantastic at pulling sweat away from my body, which is key to staying dry and preventing chills as the day goes on. Over my base layers, I add a fleece or a thin puffy jacket as a mid-layer. This provides extra insulation, especially on really chilly days. It's super versatile because it's easy to shed if I get too warm, which is perfect for variable mountain weather conditions. Being able to adapt to temperature changes is a game-changer on a snow day. Then comes the fun part – my snowboarding jacket and pants! I always make sure they are waterproof and breathable. They're my essential shield against snow, wind, and any unexpected tumbles. Before heading out, I always do a quick check of all the pockets for my lift pass, phone (fully charged, of course!), and maybe a small snack. Accessories are vital, and I never skimp on them! A good pair of gloves or mittens is a must, and I prefer ones with wrist leashes so I don't accidentally lose them on the lift. A warm beanie or helmet liner goes under my helmet for extra warmth, and choosing proper snowboarding socks (never cotton, they get wet and cold!) makes a huge difference in comfort. And, of course, my goggle game needs to be strong to protect my eyes from glare, snow, and wind. For makeup, I keep it super simple. Maybe a little waterproof mascara and tinted lip balm. There's no need for a full face when you're under a helmet and goggles most of the day, but a fresh, simple look always boosts my confidence! Before I even think about stepping out, I make sure to have a good, hearty breakfast. Something with protein and complex carbs keeps me energized. And I always pack snacks like granola bars, nuts, and a thermos with hot tea or a water bottle. Staying hydrated and fueled is so important for a full day on the mountain. One last mirror check to make sure everything's in place, grab my board, and I'm off! There's nothing quite like the feeling of fresh snow and a perfect day on the slopes. Hope this GRWM helps you get ready for your next snowboarding adventure and makes your snow day even more amazing!
