That the air conditioner is distilled into water droplets??
The distillation of air conditioners into water droplets, also known as condensation, is a fundamental physics process that results from dehumidity and air temperature.
This mechanism can be described in stages as follows:
Condensation Process
* Air humidity: The air inside our room is always mixed with water vapor. The hotter the air, the more it has the property of carrying water vapor in itself.
* Heat exchange: When the air fan sucks in hot and humid air inside the room, it will blow through the Evaporator Coil, where there is a very low temperature refrigerant.
* Dew Point: When warm air collides with cold coil skin, the temperature drops sharply. If the temperature drops to a point called Dew Point Temperature, it can no longer carry the same amount of water vapor.
* Changing state: Excess steam must therefore be exothermic and change state (condensing) to become a drop of water perched along the fin (Fins) of the cold mane.
Why does Air have to pull water out of the air?
This process is an important mechanism for air conditioning, because air conditioning does not only reduce the temperature, but also the humidity.
* Sensible Cooling: Lowering room temperature figures
* Latent Cooling: This is to pull water vapor out of the air (which is the condane water). This dehumidification will help the body vent sweat better, making us feel cool and unsticky.
All the droplets of condensation flow into the drain pan and are drained to the outside through the drain pipe.
จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่เคยดูแลและใช้งานเครื่องปรับอากาศในบ้าน สิ่งที่สังเกตได้คือหยดน้ำที่เกิดขึ้นบนแผงคอยล์เย็น ไม่ใช่ปัญหาขัดข้องแต่เป็นปรากฏการณ์ปกติของการทำงานแอร์ที่ช่วยลดความชื้นในห้องให้เหมาะสม กระบวนการนี้คือการที่แอร์ดึงเอาไอน้ำในอากาศมาเปลี่ยนเป็นน้ำเหลว ซึ่งทำให้บรรยากาศภายในบ้านรู้สึกเย็นสบายและไม่อับชื้น เมื่อน้ำหยดเหล่านี้ไหลลงสู่ถาดรองน้ำทิ้งและถูกปล่อยออกไปอย่างปลอดภัย ไม่ส่งกลิ่นหรือทำให้เกิดเชื้อราขึ้นได้ หากเราดูแลท่อน้ำทิ้งเป็นประจำ เช่น ทำความสะอาดหรือเช็คไม่ให้อุดตัน จะช่วยลดปัญหาเรื่องน้ำรั่วหรือน้ำไหลย้อนกลับเข้ามารบกวนการใช้งาน อีกเรื่องที่มักถูกถามคือทำไมแอร์ไม่ใช่แค่ลดอุณหภูมิแต่ต้องควบคุมความชื้นด้วย ก็เพราะความชื้นสูงทำให้เรารู้สึกอึดอัดและเหงื่อไม่ระเหย ทำให้เหนียวตัวและรู้สึกร้อนมากขึ้น ดังนั้นแอร์ที่ดีคือแอร์ที่ทั้งเย็นและช่วยปรับความชื้นให้เหมาะสม ทำให้ฟีลลิ่งในการอยู่อาศัยสบายตัวจริงๆ จากคำอธิบายในภาพที่แสดงส่วนสำคัญอย่าง EVAPORATOR COIL หรือคอยล์เย็น ผิวของคอยล์ซึ่งน้ำยาแอร์ไหลเวียนอยู่ จะเป็นจุดเกิดการควบแน่นของไอน้ำในอากาศ และน้ำที่เกาะเป็นหยดน้ำจะไหลสู่ถาดรองน้ำทิ้ง (Drain Pan) ก่อนถูกระบายผ่านท่อน้ำทิ้ง (Drain Pipe) ซึ่งถ้าใครที่อยากยืดอายุการใช้งานของเครื่องปรับอากาศ ควรตรวจสอบส่วนนี้เป็นประจำ เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้น้ำขังหรือท่อน้ำทิ้งอุดตันจนทำให้เกิดปัญหาน้ำรั่วหรือกลิ่นไม่พึงประสงค์ สรุปว่าการมีหยดน้ำหรือการเกิดคอนเดนเสทในแอร์เป็นสิ่งที่แสดงให้เห็นว่าแอร์กำลังทำงานอย่างถูกต้องและมีประสิทธิภาพ ทั้งนี้ผู้ใช้งานควรรู้จักและดูแลรักษาในส่วนของถาดรองน้ำและท่อน้ำทิ้งให้สะอาดอยู่เสมอ เพื่อความเย็นสบายและสุขอนามัยที่ดีของบ้านเราค่ะ
