Going through PPD is definitely taking me up & down! I try to tell myself that it’s all in my head but when those breakdowns come, that’s when I think well maybe I do need help.. Thankfully I’m pushing through as hard as it may be, but all thanks be to God! 🙏

Experiencing postpartum depression (PPD) can feel like an overwhelming roller coaster of emotions. I can personally relate to the wavering moments of denial and acceptance, questioning whether the feelings are just 'all in my head,' and the times when the weight of those emotions becomes undeniable. One thing I've learned is how crucial it is to acknowledge these struggles rather than suppress them. Support—whether from loved ones, faith, or professional help—is vital in pushing through the darkest moments. For me, turning to faith gave me strength and helped me find calm amid chaos. It’s important to remember that seeking help is a courageous step, not a weakness. Whispering my thoughts while my baby sleeps was my way of finding a quiet moment for myself amid the new responsibilities. If you're going through PPD, know that you're not alone. Sharing your journey, even in small ways, can be incredibly healing. Connecting with others who understand, using resources like therapy or support groups, and allowing yourself grace are essential steps. Remember, recovery isn’t linear, and each small victory counts, so be kind to yourself on this path.
