Women of the Bible

Learning these women in the Bible is some of the best lessons in life. In our Women Bible Study we have learned how Sarah waited on God’s blessings for her son Isaac. She thought she would never have a child but God blessed her with her only son.

Rahab, helped spies for a God she didn’t know. She asked will they keep her safe if she protected them and the spies promised her protection for her silence. She was known as a prostitute all throughout the Bible. But God took a disqualified woman and made her qualified. She is in the linage of Jesus Christ and King David.

Abigail stopped David from killing her husband Nabel because she knew God had something better for him. She knew that God had a plan for David. She told him that her husband was foolish and to blame her for his mistakes. David sent her home and refused to kill Nabel. Abigail returned home to tell her husband what she did and his heart couldn’t take it. 10 days later he fell dead. And David found his wife.

These woman all have stories and God used them in so many ways. A man travels to the mountain top to meet God, and a woman prays in secret and her prayers are answered. You see when God made a woman he made her in secret. Adam was asleep and the angels knew nothing. God said she is more precious than rubies. God is waiting on us to call on him for salvation and his love. He is an almighty God who looks past our blemishes and still loves us through the mess. What a mighty God we serve!!
