I had surgery🍋

Today I had my ankle surgery. It went really well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The doctor I’ve been seeing for almost 10 years so he understands my situation. The nurses were all so incredibly kind. This is my 4th joint surgery and I can say thing is the best one I’ve done. I was able to control my anxiety by advocating for myself, keeping control of my breathing. I never went into a panic which I usually do once my mom has to leave but I was a strong independent person today.

Unfortunately I understand that some people don’t have the same experience as others. So I do want to say, I am not trying to glorify that I had good nurses and staff at my surgery today. Because I have had awful experiences at the same hospital many many times. But i feel like having good nurses really helped because I didn’t have to worry about if I would be mistreated.

My doctor told my mom as well he agrees that I have something genetically altered in my body. I have been on a wait list for almost 2 years now to get into a specialist. I cried when she told me that. Because having a doctor agree and see that I have been dealing with is not easy to find.
