นอกจากข้อดีและข้อเสียที่กล่าวไว้ในบทความแล้ว จากประสบการณ์ของผมที่เคยอาศัยอยู่ในหมู่บ้านที่อนุญาตให้เลี้ยงสัตว์ ต้องยอมรับว่าการอยู่ในสังคมที่เต็มไปด้วยคนรักสัตว์นั้นสร้างความอบอุ่นและความผูกพันได้อย่างมาก ประสบการณ์การพาสัตว์เลี้ยงออกมาเดินเล่นทุกวัน ทำให้ได้มีโอกาสพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลกับเพื่อนบ้านที่มีใจรักสัตว์เหมือนกัน เช่น เรื่องอาหารสัตว์ที่เหมาะสม การดูแลสุขภาพ หรือแม้แต่ร้านอาบน้ำตัดขนสัตว์ที่แนะนำกันอย่างตรงไปตรงมา อย่างไรก็ตาม สิ่งที่ผมพบเจอก็คือ ปัญหาเสียงเห่าเสียงหอนในบางช่วงกลางคืนจริงๆ โดยเฉพาะถ้าสัตว์เลี้ยงได้รับการฝึกไม่ดี หรือตัวสัตว์เองมีพฤติกรรมวิตกกังวล ก็จะส่งผลกระทบต่อความสงบของผู้พักอาศัยรอบๆ นอกจากนี้ การที่บางบ้านไม่เก็บมูลสัตว์หรือทิ้งขนสัตว์ไว้ในพื้นที่ส่วนกลาง ทำให้สภาพแวดล้อมดูสกปรกและไม่เป็นระเบียบได้ ซึ่งตรงนี้หมู่บ้านควรมีมาตรการที่ชัดเจนในการดูแลและจัดการ อีกเรื่องที่อยากเตือนคือความปลอดภัยของสัตว์เลี้ยงเอง เนื่องจากบางครั้งประตูรั้วบ้านอาจมีช่องโหว่หรือไม่ได้ล็อคแน่นหนา สัตว์เลี้ยงจึงสามารถวิ่งออกมาได้ ทำให้เกิดความเสี่ยงทั้งต่อตัวสัตว์และบุคคลอื่น รวมถึงความรับผิดชอบของเจ้าของสัตว์เลี้ยงที่ต้องมีความใส่ใจและดูแลสัตว์อย่างจริงจัง เพราะสัตว์เลี้ยงมีผลต่อผู้คนรอบข้าง ทั้งในด้านสุขภาพและความปลอดภัย สุดท้ายนี้ ก่อนตัดสินใจซื้อบ้านในหมู่บ้านที่อนุญาตให้เลี้ยงสัตว์ ผมแนะนำให้สอบถามกฎระเบียบอย่างละเอียด เช่น จำนวนสัตว์ที่อนุญาตเลี้ยง, การดูแลสัตว์ที่หลุดออกไปเดินนอกบ้าน และการจัดการกับปัญหาที่อาจเกิดขึ้น เพื่อให้ได้บ้านที่เหมาะสมทั้งกับตัวเองและชุมชนรอบข้าง
