I Am a Woman
So what?
I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, and I feel the pain. Yet, I am told I provoked him. I should have been quiet, patient, and apologetic.
If I slap a man, I am told I have no respect or home training. I should have been quiet, patient, and apologetic. Because I am a woman, I don’t have the right to be angry. My innocence is measured by my silence in the face of oppression and brutality.
Because I am a woman, if my husband cheats, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The excuse is that “it is in their nature to cheat,” and I should slim down, dress better, cook better, pray harder, and be more pleasant to him.
If I cheat, I am called a whore, accused of committing an abomination. I have no right to seek love and emotional support elsewhere. I am an irresponsible mother, sent packing from the home we built, with all my possessions in a tiny box on my head. I am forbidden from seeing my older children, lucky to leave with my little one still suckling. Three years later, my child is tagged a bastard, and I am labeled “after-three.”
Because I am a woman.
A man, aged 28, runs a company and is praised as wonderful, hardworking, focused, career-oriented, and successful. A woman, aged 28, runs a company and is criticized for being unmarried, unserious, and prioritizing her career over family. I wonder if success has anything to do with gender.
Because I am a woman, I am not allowed to have wits or be a prodigy. I cannot be financially buoyant, professionally successful, or respected without a man beside me. If I succeed, I am labeled a “generous leg opener” or a “runs girl.” No one considers that I had to overcome challenges to get where I am.
A man loses his wife and remarries after a year, and he is praised for moving on. A woman loses her husband and remarries after four years, and she is suspected of infidelity and called a witch.
Because I am a woman, this post will be considered controversial, and everyone will try to correct me. But don’t forget, I am a woman, and it does not make me less human!
Who Is a Woman?
When she is quiet, millions of things run through her mind. When she stares at you, she wonders why she loves you despite being taken for granted. When she says she will stand by you, she will stand by you like a solid rock. Never hurt her or take her for granted.

Someone asked her, “Are you a working woman or a housewife?” She replied: “Yes, I am a full-time working housewife. I work 24 hours a day. I’m a Mum, a Wife, a Daughter, a Daughter-in-law, an Alarm clock, a Cook, a Maid, a Teacher, a Waitress, a Nanny, a Nurse, a Handywoman, a Security officer, a Counselor, and a Comforter. I don’t get holidays, sick leave, or days off. I work day and night, on call all hours, and get paid with a sentence: ‘What do you do all day?’”
This is dedicated to all women. A woman has the most unique character, like salt. Her presence is often unnoticed, but her absence makes everything tasteless.
Pass this to all the lovely ladies: your Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. Forward it to every woman to make her smile and to every man to make him realize a woman’s worth.

The calling for support among women, as well as from men, is vital. By fostering a culture where women's achievements are celebrated without caveats or limitations, we empower future generations. Let's support women by understanding their diverse experiences, valuing their contributions, and allowing them the freedom to define success on their own terms. Ultimately, the dialogue must shift from mere recognition of women's worth to actionable support for their ongoing struggles—enabling a future where every woman can thrive without societal constraints.
