since 2020 I've used the mpc to record instruments and vocals, etc. I even mix and master using the Mpc. it's capable of so much and the best part is that it's a standalone machine so no computer is needed. back then I would use my korg d3200 to record all the music since 2014 and before that I would make little recordings on my phone or outdated laptop
