Feathered Thursday 🫶🏼

🤍 Bereaved Parents Week

Some journeys into parenthood are marked by unimaginable loss.

Today we gently remember families affected by Second Trimester Loss, Infant Loss, Neonatal Loss, and TFMR (Termination for Medical Reasons).

Your love is forever.

Your grief is valid.

Your baby’s life will always matter.

May today remind you that you are seen, held, and never forgotten.

🕊️ Share a 🤍 or 🦋 in honor of the little lives that continue to leave beautiful footprints on our hearts.

... Read moreBereaved Parents Week serves as a profound reminder that grief after pregnancy loss is deeply personal and valid. From personal experience and conversations with others, I’ve learned that those affected by second trimester loss, infant loss, neonatal loss, and Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR) often feel unseen in society’s narratives. One thing that always stood out to me is how important it is to create supportive spaces where bereaved parents feel truly heard and held with compassion. Even simple gestures like sharing a 🤍 or 🦋 can symbolize acknowledgment and love, which many parents deeply appreciate during such a difficult journey. Families who experience these types of loss often carry their love silently, as the world may not always recognize the magnitude of their grief. I found that connecting with communities or groups focused on infant loss awareness or pregnancy loss helped enormously in easing feelings of isolation. These communities hold space for remembrance and hope, reinforcing that the tiniest lives leave the biggest lasting footprints. Honoring the memories of these babies is not about forgetting but about cherishing every moment and every heartbeat that was shared. It’s important to recognize that there is no right or wrong way to grieve—everyone’s path is unique. Gentle remembrance allows healing, and raising awareness helps create understanding, reducing stigma around these conversations. In my experience, love is forever, and grief does not diminish over time but transforms. By embracing this, those affected can find strength in knowing that their baby’s life will always matter, and they are never alone in their healing journey.
