My best wedding splurge — 1.5 years on 💍✨

Tried on so many popular wedding shoes and every single one hurt my feet. So when I found my Roger Viviers, I knew immediately that these were the ones.

From day one, I was set on a kitten heel. I wanted to actually enjoy my wedding; run, jump, table-hop all night without thinking twice about my feet (or having to switch to hotel bedroom slippers). And that’s exactly what happened. Wore them the whole night, and they didn’t hurt my feet one bit. They even paired well with my second march-in gown!

Another consideration I had was whether or not I’d continue to reach out for these shoes after my wedding. I didn’t want to drop thousands on something I’d only wear once. It’s been 1.5 years on and I still reach for them all the time. They are fancy enough to feel special, understated enough that I can actually rewear them.

Honestly, I find RV to be so underrated. It was actually mum who pointed me in this direction. She and her friends have been swearing by this brand for years. And now I completely understand why. There’s something about a brand that spans generations and still holds up.

Absolute no regrets splurging on my RVs that I continue to love long after the wedding day 🤍

... Read moreFrom my experience, finding the right wedding shoes goes beyond just looks—it’s about comfort and versatility. I initially hesitated to invest in high-end bridal shoes because I feared they’d only be worn once. Roger Vivier’s kitten heels proved otherwise; not only were they comfortable throughout my wedding festivities, but they’ve also become a go-to for other occasions. I also want to highlight the allure of the Virgule Slingback Pumps in patent leather Off White, which I learned about and seriously considered. Priced around S$2,550, these pumps perfectly blend sophistication and functionality, making them a worthwhile splurge for brides who want elegance and longevity from their wedding footwear. What really convinced me about Roger Vivier is the brand’s heritage and multi-generational appeal. My mother and her friends had trusted this label for years, which inspired my choice. Wearing these shoes long after the wedding day reminds me of their timeless quality and design. For brides still searching, I suggest focusing on kitten heels or slingback styles in neutral shades—they’re easier to pair with multiple outfits. Comfort should never be compromised, especially since your wedding day involves lots of standing, walking, and dancing. And finally, consider shoes you’ll want to wear again. It makes your investment more justified and lets you enjoy your splurge beyond the wedding. In short, my Roger Vivier shoes weren’t just a bridal purchase—they became a part of my everyday wardrobe. If you’re contemplating a special shoe for your big day, this brand might just be your perfect match.
