Aurum Theatre at the New TRX Mall, Kuala Lumpur

🎬✨ First-class movie date… but make it suaku!

Tried the new Escape Studio at TRX Mall 🎟 RM300 for 2 pax – Japanese meal + drink included 🍱☕

When we booked the tickets, we saw a few others had chosen the same show. But when we arrived… surprise! We were the only ones there! Naturally, we talked loudly and took photos like true suakus 😂💃🏻

An usher personally escorted us from the ticketing machine all the way to the theatre. I asked if that was the norm — she said it only happens during non-peak periods when she has the luxury to do so.

🛋 Sofa-style recliners

🍱 Husband: chicken teriyaki + Fanta grape

☕ Me: gyoza + hot cappuccino (must stay warm okay)

🍿 Wanted popcorn mid-movie but Wi-Fi said “nope” – thank goodness for friendly staff!

🎥 Watched Fantastic Four

💤 Husband: asleep halfway (too comfy lah)

⭐ 9/10 – would be 10 if not for the connection issue.

Pro-tip: grab snacks before entering!

If im not wrong, they also have a JB outlet!

... Read moreIf you're planning a visit to Aurum Theatre at TRX Mall, here are some extra tips to enhance your experience. Since the Escape Studio package includes a Japanese meal and a drink, it's great value, but if you want traditional snacks like popcorn, it's best to purchase them before you enter as Wi-Fi issues might temporarily prevent orders during the movie. The sofa-style recliners provide exceptional comfort, perfect for a relaxed movie outing. From my personal experience, the lighting ambiance with soft, colorful boba-style lights adds to the cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a date or a quiet movie day. The attentive staff go above and beyond, sometimes escorting guests personally to the theatre — a service appreciated during quieter times. If you’re watching a popular film like Fantastic Four, booking in advance is recommended, but you might get lucky and enjoy a private viewing during non-peak hours. For those curious about pricing, the package I tried was around RM300 for two people, inclusive of food and drink. Also, if you're interested, the Aurum Theatre has another outlet in Johor Bahru, which might be closer depending on your location. Overall, Aurum Theatre is perfect if you want a premium cinema experience with great service and comfort. Just a heads-up, check your connectivity beforehand for ordering snacks, and definitely try to arrive early to make the most of the exclusive perks!
