"Guards," an ancient Thai science that is popular for traveling or starting activities each day.
1. The meaning of symbols
The table contains the point (zero) and the cross sign, which have different meanings:
• Four points (four centers): the best, the highest auspicious, do whatever is successful, have a tweet.
• Two points (two centers): Good. It's an auspicious time. There's fortune. There's welfare.
• One point (zero one): Not very good. Should not start traveling or important work. Even in a rush, obstacles or setbacks may be encountered.
• Cross (Cross): Worst of all, do not travel or do important activities because of misfortune or failure.
• Gap (zero-free): Medium / bad, no serious harm, but no fortune. It's a quiet phase.
2. How to see the table
The table is divided by day of week and period, by day and night:
Period (guard)
• 1st (morning / early evening): 06: 01 to 08: 24 and 18: 01 to 8: 24 p.m.
• Guard 2 (late / late): 08: 25 to 10: 48 p.m. and 8: 25 to 10: 48 p.m.
• Guard 3 (noon / midnight): 10: 49 to 1: 12 p.m. and 10: 49 to 1: 12 p.m.
• Guard 4 (afternoon / near dawn): 1: 13 to 3: 36 p.m. and 1: 13 to 3: 36 p.m.
• Guard 5 (evening / dawn): 3: 37 to 6 p.m. and 3: 37 to 6: 00 p.m.
3.Example of use
If today is Monday and you want to travel to business:
• If going at 07: 00 (guard 1): will match 1 point (should be avoided)
• If you go at 10: 00 (guard 2): It will match 4 points (very good, auspicious).
• If you go at 12: 00 p.m. (guard 3): It will match the cross.

Ubangong is a simple decision-making tool. If you need confidence to start something new, choose a 4-point or 2-point period and avoid a cross.
ในประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ได้ลองใช้ยามอุบากองสำหรับกำหนดเวลาทำกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ พบว่าเป็นเครื่องมือที่ช่วยให้เรามั่นใจมากขึ้นเมื่อต้องตัดสินใจเริ่มต้นสิ่งใหม่ ๆ โดยเฉพาะการเดินทางหรือการนัดหมายธุรกิจ การเลือกยามที่มีสัญลักษณ์สี่จุดหรือสองจุดเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ดีมากนั้น พบว่าในช่วงเวลานี้มักจะมีเหตุการณ์หรือผลลัพธ์ที่น่าพอใจ เช่น การเจรจาธุรกิจราบรื่น ได้รับความร่วมมือ หรือแม้แต่โอกาสได้เงินเพิ่มขึ้น ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับความเชื่อเรื่องลาภผล ตรงกันข้าม ยามที่มีเครื่องหมายกากบาทนั้นควรหลีกเลี่ยงอย่างเด็ดขาด เพราะมีโอกาสเกิดอุปสรรคหรือเหตุการณ์ไม่ดีจริง ๆ หลายครั้งที่ผู้คนเลือกทำกิจกรรมในช่วงเวลานี้ พบว่ามีปัญหาและล้มเหลวตามคำเตือนในยามอุบากอง คำกลอนที่โบราณกำหนดไว้ในยามอุบากองยังเป็นเครื่องมือช่วยจำที่ดีมากสำหรับผมและคนรอบข้าง ยิ่งทำให้เข้าใจสัญลักษณ์และฤกษ์ยามง่ายขึ้นโดยไม่ต้องเปิดตารางดูตลอดเวลา อย่างไรก็ตาม การใช้ยามอุบากองควรเป็นแนวทางเสริมที่ช่วยให้เราติดสินใจด้วยความรอบคอบ ไม่ควรใช้เป็นข้อจำกัดจนเกินไป ควรติดตามชะตาชีวิตและสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันประกอบกันด้วย สุดท้าย ยามอุบากองก็เป็นมรดกภูมิปัญญาไทยที่สะท้อนวิถีชีวิตความเชื่อโบราณและค่านิยมของคนไทย ซึ่งยังคงมีคุณค่าและถูกนำมาใช้ประโยชน์ในชีวิตประจำวันอย่างเหมาะสม
