Now that anyone hears the word AI, they may start to feel more scared or less trusted. Most recently, a poll showed that 43% of Americans are afraid that AI will end humanity! (up 6% from March) And almost half, or 47%, think that AI will have more and more negative effects on society. It clearly reflects that concerns about AI are expanding.
The fun thing is that people are starting to come up with new words to use AI and people who use funny AI, but they are funny, such as "AI washing" (like greenwashing), which is companies that try to advertise that they have AI, which is not really used seriously, "Clanker" is a damn AI robot (from Star Wars), "Groksucker" for Elon Musk's Grok chatbot addict, "Slopper" is someone who uses ChatGPT in a hooked or lazy way, and "Slop" is a quality AI content. These new words are not just funny, because they reflect that people are not trusting AI seriously, as in the case of "glasshole," when Google Glass was finally banned by netizens, AI may not disappear that way, but this atmosphere can tell that people are increasingly focused on technology.
