Splatoon fish egg
It gets smaller and rounder as you rub it.#splatoon #lemon8diarychallenge
Okay, so I just have to share about this amazing little find! My squishy Splatoon Salmon Run egg toy is literally my new favorite desk companion. If you're like me and love a good stress ball, but also adore Splatoon, then you need one of these. It's exactly as the original post describes – you can just sit there, rubbing it, and it magically gets smaller and rounder in your hands. It's incredibly tactile and surprisingly satisfying. I find myself reaching for it during loading screens or when I just need a quick moment to chill out. Plus, it just looks so cute, sitting there, reminding me of my favorite in-game events! But what are these 'fish eggs' or 'Salmon Run eggs' in the world of Splatoon? For those new to the game or just curious, these aren't just cute collectibles! In Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, the main mode where you encounter these is Salmon Run. There are two primary types of eggs you'll be dealing with: Power Eggs and Golden Eggs. Power Eggs are the more common type. You get them by splatting regular Salmonids in Salmon Run. They're usually pretty small and can be collected automatically just by walking over them. Think of them as the basic currency for your Salmon Run shifts. Collecting these helps you fill up your meter and earn points towards your rewards, like ability chunks and gear. Every little egg counts when you're trying to hit those bonus tiers! Then there are the Golden Eggs. These are the big prizes! You only get Golden Eggs by defeating specific Boss Salmonids, like the Steelhead, Drizzler, or Flyfish. Once a Boss Salmonid is defeated, it drops a Golden Egg (or sometimes more, depending on the boss). Your primary objective in Salmon Run is to collect a target number of these Golden Eggs and deposit them into the Egg Basket before time runs out or your team gets wiped. It's a high-stakes, frantic scramble to grab them while fending off waves of enemies. Successfully delivering Golden Eggs is key to winning the round and increasing your rank! The reason these eggs are so popular, both in-game and as physical merchandise like my squishy toy, is because they represent the thrill and challenge of Salmon Run. The mode itself is a fan-favorite, known for its cooperative chaos and rewarding gameplay. When you see a Salmon Run egg, whether it's a collectible toy or glowing on the ground in-game, it immediately brings to mind those intense moments of teamwork, strategy, and triumph (or sometimes hilarious failure!). It's a symbol of the game's unique charm. So, while my little squishy egg toy is just a fun, tactile way to connect with the game, it also reminds me of the deeper mechanics and excitement of Splatoon. If you're a fan, I highly recommend checking out some of the cool Salmon Run merchandise out there. And if you haven't tried Salmon Run yet, definitely give it a go – you'll quickly understand why these 'fish eggs' are such a big deal! Happy splatting!
