the importance of social wellness

(How and why it is at the forefront of my health)

Start with self

- Find stability in your own values & goals

- Being true to yourself will attract more life-giving relationships

- Journaling daily and being able to sit with your own thoughts can uncover your authentic self

To have a village you need to be a villager

- Be the first to reach out

- Relationships take work from both sides

- Surrounding yourself with those who have similar ideas & passions

Try something new

- New hobbies are easier to try with a friend

- Anything new to get you out of the house

- Try: Pottery, Painting, or a Pilates class

There’s a balance

- Sometimes you need to put your social wellness above all else

- Listen to your body and find a balance between a good routine and a healthy social circle

- You can have both !

It begins with being in tune with your authentic self—knowing your values, goals, and needs helps you build genuine connections that nurture your mental and emotional well-being. Daily journaling is an excellent practice to sit with your thoughts, uncover your true self, and reinforce your personal stability. Being socially well also means actively participating in your community. The saying "To have a village, you need to be a villager" highlights the importance of mutual support. Being the first to reach out and investing effort in relationships strengthen bonds and create a reliable support network. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who share your passions and values encourages growth and deeper connections. Trying new activities together can be a great way to enhance social wellness. Whether it's pottery, painting, or joining a Pilates class, engaging in new hobbies outside your home breaks the routine and stimulates both social interaction and personal enjoyment. Additionally, balancing your social life with your health routines is essential. Sometimes prioritizing social events over a strict routine can uplift your spirits, while at other times, listening to your body and recharging alone is equally important. Achieving this balance ensures you can maintain a healthy social circle without compromising your personal well-being. Incorporating these practices into daily life supports not only mental and emotional resilience but also physical health, making social wellness a foundational aspect of holistic health management.
