Many aquarists start with a small iridescent shark, not realizing the immense size they'll reach or the massive tank requirements. A typical home aquarium, even a large one like a 220-gallon setup, is simply too small for an adult iridescent shark in the long term. They need vast spaces, often thousands of gallons, to thrive and exhibit natural behaviors. That's why finding my recent rescue an amazing 10,000-gallon pond in Phoenix, alongside other iridescent sharks to school with, was such a triumph. It’s crucial for their well-being.
