Do you like ‘Portrait of a Lady’? I mean what femme fraghead doesn’t right? The jammy rose, SO much rose! The raspberry & black currant/ blackcurrant, the mysterious allure of incense & the creamy sandalwood… it’s everything an olfactory masterpiece should be BUT who can afford $400? And that’s at a discounter! Retail at a department store $470! There are quite a few options, with something that achieves the vibe for ALL budgets. Here I picture a 5ml sample from the clone house Alexandria Fragrances … I personally appreciate this one. Upon my first spray last week I didn’t know what to think of it… it was SO intriguingly weird & I smelled my wrist at least twice every 5 minutes for hours 😂 this has happened to me before & this is how I’ve come to be completely obsessed 😍 with a fragrance or the scent profile. You can get 7 5ml fragrances for $50 … thats just over $7 for 5mls, can’t beat that… a 5ml of an extrait de parfum is plenty of juice to get aquatinted with a scent. Now Dark Kiss if you compare the notes of this lesser known beauty certainly makes it seem as though they had made this blend either to use with Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle & its many dupes, clones and inspired frags OR to stand in for this exact scent profile. My mind is made up! You can’t tell me any different. I have now really eased into this ‘weird’ perfume selection & I have grown to appreciate it without the Blackberry Tonic as well as the Pink Sugar although I will spray some when refreshing the scent bubble for a happening or event of sorts when I want to smell extra flirty. I did my due diligence & research & I REALLY do have the urge to gatekeep my discovery BUT I have found Porpora by Tiziana Terenzi… its a niche brand so the quality will be absolutely phenomenal & I found this $300 beauty for just under $100! It is an extrait concentration scent so she’s going to be beastly meaning that I likely won’t have to use that much which really is so important seeing as how she’s destined to become my ‘other’ signature scent! My baby, my primary signature scent has been discontinued for 5 years now & she’s very pricey when I can find her on aftermarket platforms like Mercari & eBay… if you pay attention you’ll find out just who she is in the next couple of days 🤫
