in 3 sim weeks my sim has been fishing , harvesting from bushes and plants , and digging gems and capsules up we’ve almost got enough for a micro home shell 💛
Okay, Simmers, you've seen my Sim's journey through the Self-Starter Challenge – all that fishing, digging for gems, and harvesting just to get a micro home shell. It's a true test of patience and resourcefulness, right? But if you're anything like me, once you conquer one challenge, you’re already looking for the next big adventure. And trust me, when it comes to unique gameplay and a bit of chaos, few challenges beat the legendary Sims 4 Occult Baby Challenge! So, what exactly is the Occult Baby Challenge? Well, it's pretty much what it sounds like! The main goal is usually to have a matriarch (or patriarch) Sim give birth to at least one baby of every occult type available in The Sims 4. This means aliens, vampires, spellcasters, mermaids, and werewolves. Some variations even include ghosts, though that adds an extra layer of complexity! Getting Started: The Basics Like any good Sims challenge (including the Self-Starter rules you saw earlier!), there are some core guidelines. You start with a founder Sim, usually a human, and your goal is to produce children with various occult Sims. No cheats allowed, of course! You generally keep the original matriarch/patriarch throughout the challenge, and the children usually move out once they become young adults after fulfilling their purpose (i.e., being born an occult). The Occult Parents & How to Find Them: Aliens: To get an alien baby, your Sim needs to get abducted and become pregnant, or woohoo with an alien. Abductions are random but more likely if your Sim uses a telescope or researches space. You can often find aliens hanging around the Forgotten Grotto in Oasis Springs (conveniently where my Self-Starter Sim was digging!) or sometimes in StrangerVille. Alternatively, if you have the Get to Work pack, you can visit Sixam via a rocket ship. Building relationships quickly is key! Vampires: You'll need to find a vampire Sim and build a romantic relationship with them. Once you're good friends/lovers, ask them to turn you, or simply woohoo with a born vampire. Forgotten Hollow is the absolute best spot to find vampires; they're practically everywhere there after dark. Just be careful not to get bitten too much! Spellcasters: Head over to Glimmerbrook and the Magic Realm! This pack makes it super easy to find spellcasters. Just build a relationship with one, woohoo, and hopefully, a magical baby is on the way. You don't need to be a spellcaster yourself to have a spellcaster baby. Mermaids: For mermaid babies, you'll need the Island Living pack. Travel to Sulani, and you'll find mermaids swimming in the ocean or hanging out on the beaches. Similar to spellcasters, woohoo with a mermaid, and there’s a chance for a little merman or mermaid to join your family. They’re usually super friendly, so building a relationship is fun. Werewolves: With the Werewolves Game Pack, Moonwood Mill is your new hunting ground (pun intended!). Find a werewolf, become close, and woohoo. Your Sim doesn't need to be a werewolf themselves. There are two main werewolf packs, but any werewolf will do for procreation purposes. Tips and Tricks from My Own Experience: Woohoo Spots: Get creative! Public woohoo spots like bushes, observatories, or even closets can speed up your relationship-building (and baby-making) process. My Self-Starter Sim might've been focused on practicality, but your Occult Baby matriarch needs to be a social butterfly! MCCC Mod: If you're struggling with finding specific occults or just want more control over pregnancy outcomes (like ensuring an occult baby), the MCCC mod can be a huge help. It's not cheating if it just streamlines the challenge! Household Management: This challenge will test your ability to manage large households. Get ready for a lot of dirty dishes, crying babies, and Sims needing attention! Unlike my single Sim fishing by the river, you'll have a bustling, supernatural household. Relationship Building: Max out your Charisma skill and use friendly interactions like 'Flirty Introduction' or 'Compliment Appearance' to quickly become friends and lovers with your potential occult partners. So, there you have it! The Sims 4 Occult Baby Challenge is a fantastic way to experience all the supernatural elements the game has to offer. It's definitely a step up in complexity from grinding for cash, but incredibly rewarding. Give it a try, and let me know how your occult family grows!
