My Small Business Era 🖤✨
I’ve been dabbling in art and other handmade hobbies my whole life, including 2 previous art business ventures, but my current business has been going strong since the summer of 2022! My business really took off last year, and I’ve been full time and supporting my family with it ever since. I love what I do!
I’m primarily an artist, but I dabble in a lot of things! If you like a purple & black aesthetic, witchy vibes, spooky-cute art, and Cryptids, then stick around to find out more! 🫶
💜 Recently I started to crochet and knit for my business! I’ve been knitting about 20 years and crocheting for 5. I make witchy wearables, and spooky & cute plushies! I love creating plushies of things a lot of other crochet artists don’t usually make, like cryptids, spiders, aliens, and snakes!
🖤 I started out by creating sticker designs for bullet journaling! I still do a few designs here and there.
💜 I primarily create digital artwork. Mostly seamless/repeating patterns that customers purchase to print on fabric, use for scrapbook paper, print on tumblers, and more! I also make “sub” files for t-shirts, mugs, and other things! It’s so cool to be able to wear my art 🥹
🖤 I attend local markets every few months in my area! It’s so much fun to get in-person feedback and meet some of my followers face to face. I love decorating my booth!
💜 I have some mugs on my shop sold from a print-on-demand service! I used to keep them in stock and ship them myself but the designs that I have sell out very quickly each time, so I switched to an easier option to keep them accessible! I love the mugs and plan on designing more in the new year!
🖤 I published my very first coloring book this year! I drew every page of illustrations and the cover, it was so much fun and a labor of love 🫶
Follow along if you’d love to see behind the scenes! I can’t wait to share 🤟
Starting a small business centered around your passions can transform your life, as it has for many artists and creators like myself. Embracing the aesthetic of witchy vibes and a purple & black palette, I'm able to connect with a community that appreciates unique, handmade items. My journey began with simple sticker designs for bullet journaling, evolving into a full-fledged business where I now create knit and crochet pieces, including witchy wearables and charming plushies inspired by cryptids and more. Creating plushies that stand out in a crowded market has allowed me to carve a niche that resonates with my target audience. Digital artwork has become another vital part of my business. By offering seamless patterns and 'sub' files for various products, I cater to customers seeking unique crafting materials. The constant demand for my designs shows the love for creativity in our community. Attending local markets lets me engage with customers face-to-face, allowing for vital feedback and personal connections. This experience enriches the business aspect and adds joy to my creative process. Each product I offer, from mugs to my newly launched coloring book, reflects my heart and soul, inspiring me to create more and design new pieces that my followers will love.
