It’s so rough being a dog 🐶
Being a dog is definitely a unique experience filled with a mix of playful energy and simple joys. From my observations and interactions with dogs, their daily life is surprisingly busy and structured, even if it looks like just fun and games to us humans. Dogs often take multiple naps a day, sometimes as many as three, which helps them recharge for bursts of activity like walks or playtime. One aspect that stands out is how much dogs bark at almost everything – it's their way to communicate, protect their territory, or just express excitement or curiosity. Barking can sometimes seem like a full-time job for them. Alongside this, treat testing is a popular and motivating activity – dogs love tasting different treats, and it keeps them engaged and happy. Exercise plays a crucial role, with many dogs clocking around 10,000 steps during their daily walks, which not only keeps them physically healthy but also mentally stimulated by new sights and smells. These walks strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners, often accompanied by frequent cuddle sessions – especially with a trusted figure like 'dad' – highlighting the emotional connection dogs seek. Another interesting behavior is their routine of pee breaks roughly every hour, which is essential for their health and comfort. Also, they seem to have their own quirky 'command' system, responding to simple cues like option, control, shift, and caps lock (in a playful metaphorical sense) to follow instructions or signal their needs. Overall, being a dog involves balancing rest, activity, social interaction, and communication. It’s a life full of routine and affection, which makes them such lovable companions despite the 'roughness' they might sometimes feel in navigating their busy little world.
