Unboxing - Seed Beads Edition
I’ve been meaning to check out this store in LA, @beads_factory, for a couple of months now—and I finally made it last week! My BF was kind enough to stay in the car while I shopped (bless him 😅). I think I was in there for a whole hour.
Now… I kinda messed up 😬. I went through the entire store grabbing beads and filling my cart without asking anyone if they carried Toho, Miyuki, or Preciosa. By the time I asked, I already had 25 bags of seed beads in my cart 😭. Turns out, they do carry Miyuki and Preciosa, but at that point, I was too deep in and didn’t want to spend another hour (or two) starting over 🤣😂.
Guess I’ll save that deep dive for next time—when I drag my boyfriend back there again 😆.
Lowkey, I regret the beads I bought from Joann’s during their closeout sale. I thought I was getting a good deal, but NOPE. The amount of beads I could’ve gotten for that price at @beads_factory? Robbery 😭 😂. Never again!
And I know Joann’s is gone now, but even if Michael’s has beads—I’m not buying them there either. Not worth it!
If you’re planning to go, just know that parking in that area is a nightmare. If you’re lucky enough to find a public lot, expect to pay $10 or more—but honestly, it’s worth it!
Also, I believe you can order from their online store—but last I checked, prices were about $0.50 higher per item compared to in-store (unless they’ve updated that recently—I just checked again 😅).
Can’t wait to start working on the patterns I got from @beadandblossom. Full disclosure: the beads I bought aren’t exactly what the pattern called for—I totally eyeballed it 😂🤣. Let’s see how it goes!
