Hair Colors I’ve had this past year🌸
It's amazing how much a hair color change can transform your look and mood, isn't it? As someone who's gone through quite a few shades in just one year, I can genuinely say it's been an adventure of self-discovery, sometimes with hilarious mishaps, and other times with pure hair magic! While my journey might not have included 'holo hair' specifically, the desire to explore diverse and trending colors was definitely there. One of the biggest influences on my hair color choices, and something I've seen with many friends, is the changing seasons. Have you ever noticed how we often crave light blonde hair or vibrant copper-toned hair in the warmer months? There's something about the sunshine that makes us lean towards brighter, sun-kissed looks. Then, as fall rolls around, we often transition to richer, deeper shades like dark brown hair or reddish-brown hair, seeking warmth and coziness. Even my return to dark brown close to my natural felt right as the weather cooled down. It’s like our hair wants to match the landscape! This past year, I experienced the full spectrum. Starting from my natural medium brown, I ventured into copper (which I adored!), then mistakenly ended up with vibrant red hair when I just wanted a retouch. That was a moment when I realized how crucial clear communication with your stylist is, and perhaps, bringing reference photos is always a good idea! Achieving light blonde was a huge commitment, and truly my favorite, but it required so much work to maintain. I totally miss it, but sometimes you need a break from the upkeep. For those of you curious about more unique and multi-dimensional looks, like holo hair or other experimental shades, my biggest advice is preparation and professional consultation. These colors often involve complex techniques to create that shimmering, iridescent effect, or require specific undertones to truly pop. If you're considering a dramatic shift, especially from a deep black/dark brown to something very light or vibrant, a strand test is your best friend! It helps you gauge how your hair will react and ensures you avoid those 'ruined blonde' or 'this was supposed to be LIGHT DUSTY BROWN' moments I unfortunately experienced. It's all part of the learning curve, though, right? Each color, even the accidental ones, taught me something new about my hair and what I truly love. So, whether you're sticking to natural hues or dreaming of something truly out-of-this-world, embrace the journey!
