3 things I wish I knew! FITNESS EDITION
3 things I wish I knew sooner on my fitness journey....
-once you are past the beginning stages, your training intensity matters. You can’t expect to go through the motions and lift the same weight and see major changes.
-I never ate enough protein to see muscle tone. People need alot more muscle than they think to be ‘toned’
-stop comparing your day 5 to someones year 5. you can eat & train exactly like your favorite influencer and you will still NOT look like them.
Embarking on a fitness journey can be daunting, and understanding these crucial lessons is key to success. Firstly, as you advance in your training, the intensity becomes paramount. Many beginners underestimate how impactful increased effort is in achieving significant results. Simply going through the motions won’t yield the desired changes. Secondly, protein intake plays a crucial role in muscle development. Many individuals, particularly those seeking a toned physique, often do not consume enough protein to support muscle growth. Incorporating higher protein foods into your diet can facilitate better muscle tone and overall fitness. Lastly, it’s vital to avoid the trap of comparison. Every fitness journey is unique; your day 5 should not be measured against someone’s year 5. Influencers often present curated versions of their progress, but real change takes time and consistency. Recognizing and embracing your individual path is essential for long-term success. Incorporating professional guidance, maintaining a balanced diet, and setting realistic goals are essential components of any fitness routine. Consider tracking your progress and adjusting your workouts based on your body’s responses to stay on the right path. By adopting these practices, you can create a sustainable fitness journey that is both enjoyable and rewarding.
