PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD - KEY TO RESULTS

HERE’S THE TRUTH ⤵️

Make sure to hit that follow button so you can START seeing results and save this video for helpful tips later!

But here’s the truth -

I’m going to define the word insanity - which is doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different result. Well this is the case for seeing results in the gym. Don’t expect to lift 10lb dumbbells for the rest of your life and get better results month after month.

SO yes you need progressive overload.

It’s all about gradually increasing the demands on your muscles to stimulate growth and strength. Without it, your progress can plateau, but with the right strategies, you can keep pushing your limits AND see results.

Here are some effective ways to implement progressive overload:

1️⃣ **Increase Weight**: Adding more weight to your lifts is one of the most straightforward methods. Challenge yourself but maintain proper form!

2️⃣ **Increase Reps or Sets**: Push for more repetitions or add an extra set to your routine. This helps build endurance and strength over time.

3️⃣ **Decrease Rest Time**: Shortening your rest periods can increase intensity, making your muscles work harder during each session. This can also be using super sets & tri-sets.

4️⃣ **Change the Tempo**: Slow down the eccentric (lowering) phase of your lifts or incorporate explosive movements to add variety and challenge. (My personal fav)

5️⃣ **Vary Your Exercises**: Switch up your exercises every 8-12 weeks to target muscles in different ways. This keeps your workouts fresh and helps prevent adaptation.

I’m currently running a 1:1 online coaching GIVEAWAY where 1 lucky winner will get my coaching for FREE. Where we work on things like progressive overload and so MUCH MORE 🔗 in b!0 to apply to be considered 💪🏼

... Read moreProgressive overload is crucial for anyone looking to make gains in strength and muscle size. It involves incrementally increasing the amount of stress placed on your body during training, ensuring your muscles are continuously challenged. Numerous studies highlight that without progressive overload, individuals risk stagnating in their workouts due to muscle adaptation. One effective method to achieve progressive overload is by gradually increasing the weight you lift. This direct approach not only builds muscle but also enhances strength over time. Another strategy involves increasing the number of repetitions or sets per workout, which can significantly boost endurance and overall fitness. Additionally, decreasing rest time between sets can elevate workout intensity, pushing your muscles to adapt more aggressively. Changing the tempo of your exercises, such as slowing down the eccentric phase of lifts, adds a unique twist that further stimulates muscle growth. Incorporating different exercises every few months helps target muscles in new ways, keeping workouts interesting and effective. By implementing these varied techniques, you can maintain continuous improvements and see substantial results in your fitness journey. Stay dedicated, track your progress, and enjoy the journey towards gaining strength and building the physique you desire!
