Digestion & Cycle Syncing ⤵️

📢 How Your Menstrual Cycle Affects Digestion! 🚨

Now I don't believe in cycle syncing your workouts (because there is NO scientific evidence to back these claims) but I do believe in cycle syncing digestion - to help keep your gut happy during your cycle!

Ever notice your digestion feels off around your period? Bloating, constipation, or sudden cravings? 👀 Your menstrual cycle plays a HUGE role in your gut health & how your body processes food!

Here’s what happens during each phase:

🔴 Period (Days 1-5): Higher estrogen can speed up digestion = looser stools, bloating & cramps 💨

⚡️ Ovulation (~Day 14): Estrogen peaks = digestion is smooth & energy is high! 💃🏼

⚠️ Luteal Phase (Days 15-28, before your period):

❌ Progesterone slows digestion → bloating, constipation & cravings hit HARD 😩

❌ Water retention makes you feel extra puffy 🫠

❌ Blood sugar fluctuations = increased hunger & mood swings

💡 How I Help My Clients Manage This:

✅ Adjust nutrition & macros to support digestion throughout their cycle

✅ Reduce bloating & cravings with strategic food choices (no, you don’t need to starve yourself!)

✅ Create training plans that work with your body, not against it

✅ Provide guidance & accountability so you stay on track—even when hormones try to sabotage you!

If you’re tired of feeling bloated, sluggish, and out of control every month, my coaching will help you build a sustainable plan that works WITH your body!

... Read moreMenstruation significantly impacts digestive health, a connection often overlooked. During the menstrual cycle, hormonal fluctuations, particularly of estrogen and progesterone, affect gut motility. The follicular phase (Days 1-14) generally promotes quicker digestion. After ovulation, progesterone increases, leading to slower digestion which can cause bloating and cravings. Research suggests that individual dietary adjustments can alleviate discomfort. Incorporating high-fiber foods, probiotics, and hydration can immensely help digestion. Furthermore, understanding these cycles allows women to plan their meals and activities, optimizing their hygiene and wellness routine. Monitoring personal symptoms can provide insights to tailor dietary choices effectively. Consulting with nutritionists or health coaches specializing in menstrual health can also offer personalized strategies to mitigate digestive issues during specific cycle phases. Overall, being mindful and informed can transform the monthly experience, turning discomfort into manageable symptoms.
