... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! You know how much I adore a beautifully curated skincare routine, especially when it comes to the dreamy world of Korean beauty. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with creating aesthetic pastel Korean skincare flatlays for my feed, and I wanted to share my journey with you. It’s not just about pretty pictures; it’s also about finding products that actually work and sometimes, realizing that not every viral sensation lives up to its hype! Creating the perfect pastel flatlay is an art in itself. My first tip? Start with a theme. For me, it's all about soft, muted tones – think baby pinks, mint greens, sky blues, and creamy whites. I love choosing K-beauty products that already come in aesthetically pleasing packaging. Brands often do such a fantastic job with their designs, making them perfect for display. Next, consider your background. A light-colored blanket, a marble tray, or even a simple white poster board can make your pastel products pop. Then come the props! This is where you can truly express your style. I often use fresh flowers, small decorative dishes, pretty candles, or even a delicate silk scarf to add texture and interest. Natural lighting is non-negotiable for that soft, ethereal look. I always set up near a window, avoiding harsh direct sunlight. And for composition, I like to play around with different arrangements until it feels balanced and pleasing to the eye. It’s all about telling a story with your skincare essentials. Of course, beyond the aesthetics, the performance of these products is what truly matters. I've discovered some absolute gems that not only look gorgeous in my pastel flatlays but have also transformed my skin. For instance, certain hydrating toners with their minimalist pastel bottles have become staples, providing deep moisture without feeling heavy. I also love a particular calming serum that comes in a light blue dropper bottle – it's a soothing treat for my sensitive skin and looks fabulous in photos. Finding products that are both effective and visually appealing is such a win! However, let’s get real. Not every viral beauty product I’ve bought has been a winner. Just like that pink text asking, "What's a viral beauty product you regret buying?" in that one meme, I’ve definitely had my share of disappointments. You know the feeling – you see a product everywhere, it has gorgeous packaging, all the influencers are raving about it, and you just have to try it. But then, you use it, and you're left with that sad yellow cartoon character feeling, wondering where you went wrong. For example, there was this one highly-praised pastel-colored essence that everyone swore by. It looked amazing in flatlays, promising glass skin, but for me, it just didn't absorb well and left a sticky residue. Another popular hydrating cream, with its minimalist design, actually broke me out! It was such a bummer because I had high hopes and it looked so good on my vanity. These experiences really make you question the hype, right? It's easy to get caught up in the visual appeal and Instagram-worthiness, but sometimes, the product just isn't a match for your skin. It’s a good reminder that what works for one person might not work for another, no matter how viral it is. So, while I adore creating beautiful pastel Korean skincare flatlays, I've learned to be more discerning. It’s about finding that sweet spot where aesthetics meet efficacy. What about you? Have you ever regretted buying a viral beauty product that looked amazing but didn't deliver? Let me know your thoughts and experiences in the comments below – I'm always looking for honest reviews!

I know it might come as a shock but lip masks. I feel they do nothing for my lips than what a typical lip balm would do. I feel they are a scam
